2017 ended on a high note.  2018 is promising to be even better for the Ontario Trail Riders Association.  The ride schedule is shaping up nicely and will be soon be available on our
new Website: www.ontariotrailriders.ca
starting date will be announced on our Facebook page. 

You will be better able to follow us in “real time”.  This means the Ride Schedule will always be current.  All additions and deletions to the Ride Schedule will be posted immediately.  News and photographs from the rides will be posted on an ongoing basis.  We are excited!

OTRA welcomes both English and Western riders and all breeds of horses.  Each horse owner is responsible  for their own horse and accepts the three C’s of horsemanship:  Courtesy  Consideration  Common sense.

Join our weekend rides with great camping, get-togethers,  exciting various length trail rides, tack auction, and live music and sing songs around the campfire in the evenings.  OTRA weekends are an excellent way to meet new and old friends and swap stories.   Just a  few of OTRA’S achievements include;   1970 Ontario Trail Riders formed.  1973 Established a 200 mile Great Pine Ridge Trail from the Trent River on the east to the Niagara Escarpment of the west.  1974 Opened the first highway underpass for equestrian use- Highway 28 at Bewdley.  1977 Established the 200-mile Heritage Trail from  Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay. 1979 Established the 100-mile Huronia Trail.   The list goes on.
